Have Someone Else Read Messages That Hit You the Wrong Way
If a message hits you the wrong way, it may be wise to offer it to someone else to read, so you can find out what other possible meanings you may have missed. You may be surprised at the different interpretations others derive from the very same words. And it wouldn't hurt to have someone else read your reply, either!
Ask them to give you feedback about how you might respond before composing your response, or at least get a second opinion on what you've written before making the final decision to send
